PRLog (Press Release) – Sep 30, 2009 – In 1982, Reebok introduced the Reebok “Freestyle”, a woman’s athletic shoe designed for aerobic exercise.  This new shoe marked a shift in the athletic shoes market towards athletic shoes designed for sports other than jogging (aerobics, basketball, etc.) and towards the female market for sports shoes (before the 1980’s jogging was primarily a “man’s” hobby).  With a price tag of 60 dollars, the Reebok was shockingly expensive at the time.  Some people called it the most expensive sports shoe in the world.  
The original Freestyle was an Oxford-style (lace-up) shoe made out of white leather.  It was adorned simply with the word “Reebok” in light blue lettering and a picture of the British Union Jack flag on the side of the shoe.  The original Freestyle was a low top with a yellow gum sole.  In the mid 1980’s Reebok released the distinctive high-top Freestyles.  In addition to laces, these shoes closed with two Velcro straps around the ankle.  They were available in bright, funky colors such as pink, orange, green and yellow.  Most of the high-top Reeboks were made out of leather but some canvas and mesh versions of the shoe were also released on the market.  
Reeboks were a hit among the new female athletic market.  The shoe sponsored the Los Angeles Lakers Girls in the 1980s, and the shoes soon became a hit with cheerleading squads and dance teams across the nation.  In addition to athletics, the Freestyle quickly became something of a fashion must-have.  Cybill Shepherd complemented her black strapless gown with a bright orange pair of Freestyles at the 1985 Emmy’s.  Punky Brewster started the trend of wearing two different colors of Freestyle (an orange on the left foot and a purple on the right foot, for example) at the same time.

•   To help the moisturizer do its work, wear a sock after you apply the cream.  (This works best if you do it just before you go to bed.)  Socks are available for this very purpose (see Silipos gel therapy socks), but you can also keep quite a bit of moisture in just by sacrificing a cotton sock from your drawer.
 
•   Use a pumice stone to buff of the dead skin on your heel.  This gentle debridement technique can be done at home.  Never try to remove dead skin with knife, razor or scissors.  People with diabetes or lymphedema should leave all forms of debridement to their doctor.  
•   Change your shoes.  Cracked heels are often caused by too much pressure being applied to the back of the foot.  Avoid open-backed shoes.  These allow the fatty skin of the heel to squeeze out over the heel in a way that promotes fissures.  Instead, look for closed-heeled shoes with good arch support and a shock-absorbing midsole.  Orthopedic inserts may be helpful if you are somewhere who carries a lot of weight on your heels.  
If your cracked heels will not go away, or if they are the result of a disease such as diabetes, lymphedema, eczema or psoriasis, see a podiatrist for additional medical treatments.  Your podiatrist may be able to provide you with a prescription moisturizer, or help you with the debridement process.  In some situations where the fissured heel is causing a great deal of pain, a podiatrist may attempt strap the two sides of the heel together or even glue the skin.  A podiatrist can also advise you when it comes to orthopedic shoes or custom orthopedic insoles.  
Cracked heels may be stubborn, but most of the time they do not require expensive treatments.  Remember: you may only be able to eliminate the fissured skin on your heel once you have eliminated the underlying problem (dry skin, inactive sweat glands, neuropathy, poor weight distribution, unsupportive shoes, obesity, etc.).

Is the watch is getting enough light?
In normal use, the watch displays the time and the second hand moves in one second intervals. A very important feature of Citizen Eco-Drive is the Low Charge Warning Mode which as a result of low energy cell voltage causes the second hand to jump two seconds at a time (while still keeping correct time). When this signal is seen, the watch should be exposed to bright light following the recharging guidelines shown in its instruction manual.

It means that the reserve power is getting low and the energy cell needs to be fully recharged by exposing it to light for a period of time. This may also occur after fully recharging your watch after a complete discharge of the energy cell. If you have fully charged your watch and the second hand continues to move in two second intervals, you need to do an all reset of the watch. For simple citizen analog models, pull the crown out to the time setting position for 30 seconds, and then return the crown to the closed position next to the case, then set the time.
Why does my watch appear to have lost time, even though it is still running?
A second important feature, Time Reset Advisory, warns that the citizen watch has stopped completely and then been exposed to enough light to start running again. The time shown would likely be incorrect and need to be reset after recharging the watch sufficiently.
Resetting the Eco-Drive Watch to return to normal operation?
After the watch has stopped and been restarted by exposure to bright light, it will remain in the Time Reset Warning (hitch movement) mode until one or the other of two things happen.
First, if the citizen watch is set to the correct time after partial recharging, the hitch movement will change to a two step movement indicating that more charging is needed. While charging is continued, the watch will keep correct time and after sufficient charging, will go back to the regular one second step by itself.
Second, if the Citizen watch is not set until after it is charged up to a sufficient level where the circuit signals the watch to start the one second step again, it will stay in the Time Reset Advisory mode. However, after it has reached the above charge level, and the time on the watch is set, it will go back to the normal one second step movement.
The amount of charging time, under varying light conditions, to go from a stopped watch to a one second step is shown in each instruction book.
When the Citizen watch has received the charging time recommended in its instruction book, the all reset has been performed and the time has been set, the irregular movement of the hands will stop.
The “All Reset” procedure varies for each citizen eco-drive model. For simple analog models, pull the crown out to the time setting position, leave for 30 seconds, then return to the closed position next to the case. For multifunction and perpetual calendar models, refer to your owners manual for appropriate procedures.
The quick start feature
Many Citizen Eco-Drive watches are equipped with a Quick Start Feature. This feature activates after your watch has become completely discharged then exposed to light sufficient for charging. It takes only several seconds of exposure to bright light to start it running. The instant the watch starts running, it enters into the Time Reset Advisory mode. This is indicated by the irregular movement of the second hand. Be sure to fully charge your watch as outlined in your instruction booklet otherwise your watch may stop once removed from the light. Once your citizen watch has been completely charged, be sure to perform the ‘all reset’ and set the time to restore regular operation.

Tesco Continues To Lead The Way For Online Grocery Shopping

PRLog (Press Release) – Sep 08, 2009 – Many people are fond of Toshiba. When the nice feet stepped on the cable the laptop practiced flying, fortunately almost without further consequences. But the PA3467U-1ACA ac adapter plug did not fit any more. The golden tip of the sophisticated laptop ac adapter even preferred to remain inside of the laptop and was not easily be convinced to leave. What's to be done now?
The shell could be removed. As suspected from the charging light toy effects before, there are some electronics inside. The cable had two wires, the black one ending next to some semiconductor, the grey one between two resistors. Removed the cable. Formerly, the inner contacts of the PA3467U-1ACA ac adapter connector must have looked very similar to a simple 2.5mm TRS (tip-ring-sleeve) jack. Here I have pulled the damaged parts out.
The shield should be readjusted to some cylindrical shape. To have a look at the inner parts, the PA3467U-1ACA ac adapter light guide will have to be removed. Slice it. To remove the shield it should be dilated. And don't forget desoldering. The PA3467U-1ACA ac adapter replacement TRS jack is not gold plated like the delicate original but it seems quite robust.
After estimated the correct length, connect to the appropriate holes of the PCB. So it looks from the other side. Please note the solder securing the S contact. Without that lots of new TRS jacks are unusable. The outer shield in its original shape would short circuit TRS contacts, remove some of it. For a first test of what we have done use a piece of tubing to isolate the outer shield and connect the wires. If you all survived the test it's time for putting the PA3467U-1ACA ac adapter connector together. First spend some epoxy glue for isolation.
Smoothing the light guide's gash provides some room for the glue afterwards. There is not plenty of room. Be careful not to perforate the insulation of the laptop ac adapter wires. The light guide's fissure will be filled with a drop of transparent epoxy glue.
To prepare it the terminals should be tinned using some acid flux. And the usual weak internal connections in this type of TRS jack can be secured by soldering. Be quick enough not to melt the plastic rings in the tip. Contacts will have to be prepared to fit the printed circuit board (PCB). Cut a bit away from the S (sleeve) and the R (ring) contacts and laptop ac adapter connect wires for T (tip) and R (ring).

More Than 250 Detroit-area Students To Receive School Uniform Vouchers From Forman Mills

From 3-7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, pre-identified students will have visit the Forman Mills Warren and Conner store (11950 East Warren Avenue, Detroit) to redeem vouchers for free school uniforms and make their apparel selections. Voucher recipients can receive two pairs of pants and three shirts. The vouchers are valued at $30 each.  While students shop, they will be treated to tasty treats, live entertainment and giveaways.
The vouchers have been be awarded to disadvantaged students from Detroit Public Schools (DPS) and neighboring educational facilities.

The clothier partnered with Angel Land, a non-profit organization devoted to the overall care and development of children and their families, and TWW & Associates, an organization that seeks to prepare individuals for the 21st century workforce. Angel Land and TWW have identified prospective voucher recipients through a work database and will distribute vouchers to those deemed in need. Together, Angel Land and TWW help to bring low-income families together by maximizing community involvement and removing barriers that separate many people from employment and self-sufficiency.
